Update: Boil Water Notice Rescinded
Crews have responded to a water main break on the north side of E Highway 199 and are currently working on completing the necessary repairs. This will effect the pressure from the intersection of Jaybird Ln west to Monticello Dr on the North side of the highway. Following the completion of the repairs the aforementioned area will be under a Boil Water Notice.

On 8/26/25, the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality required the Walnut Creek SUD public water system, TX 1840008, to issue a Boil Water Notice to inform customers, individuals, or employees that due to conditions which occurred recently in the public water system, the water from this public water system was required to be boiled prior to use for drinking water or human consumption purposes.
The public water system has taken the necessary corrective actions to restore the quality of the water distributed by this public water system used for drinking water or human consumption purposes and has provided TCEQ with laboratory test results that indicate that the water no longer requires boiling prior to use as of 8/28/25

Crews are working on repairing a water main break at the intersection of Scott Lane and Newsom Mound Rd. This will affect the pressure on Scott Ln, Gilley Ln, Sherri Ln and Newsom Mound (from Scott to Sabathney). Once the repairs are completed and service restored this area will be under a boil water notice until samples come back from the lab.

Crews are enroute to the 2800 blk of N Cardinal Rd to repair a water main leak. This will only effect residents on N Cardinal south of Knob Hill rd. Once repairs are completed this area will be under a boil water notice.

The boil water notice issued on August 22nd for Springhill Ct has been lifted.
The boil water notice issued on August 25th for billie howard ct has been lifted.

On Thursday, August 28th crews will working on Oxford Ct and Oxford Cir repairing flush valves in Brighton Meadows. This will take a couple of hours per flush valve depending on the repairs needed. If the water has to be turned off a boil water notice will be issued following the repairs.

As of 7/29/25 at 12:00 AM/ midnight Walnut Creek SUD will be under stage 2 of the Drought Contingency watering plan. Watering will be permitted one day per week as follows:
Even addresses will be permitted to water on Tuesdays from 12:00 AM to 10:00AM and from 6:00pm to Midnight
Odd addresses will be permitted to water on Thursdays from 12:00 Am to 10:00 AM and from 6:00 PM to Midnight
This is due to demand overriding supply during extended watering of stage 1.
